Getting some fresh air with the birds

On one of my regular trips to Asda, I bought some new wellies and then had a real need to wear them out so we decided to take a trip to Saltholme. Saltholme is a wildlife reserve and discovery park run by the RSPB which sits amongst a vast backdrop of industry, which apparently attracts the birds - they love the lights. Although Saltholme is a great place to catch sight of many regular and rare birds it is also a great place for families and a lovely walkout. Here are a few snaps from the visit we made recently...

Sheep! Just roaming around!

Although we didn't really see any birds, although were we looking really? It was a really nice place to just walk around and get some fresh air. It's such a friendly place that is definitely worth a visit whether or not you are a twitcher!

Has anyone been before? What did you think?
